Since its inception in Karratha in 2003, SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia) has been a beacon of hope for animals in need across Western Australia. With unwavering dedication, over 40,530 healthy and rehomable animals have been rescued from uncertain fates and lovingly placed in new homes, both in Perth and throughout the rest of the state. As WA’s largest volunteer-based animal rescue and rehoming service, SAFE operates on the compassionate foster care model. With 10 regional branches spanning the breadth of Western Australia, alongside a vital Metro branch in Perth, SAFE’s reach extends far and wide. Through the collective efforts of foster carers, volunteers, supporters, and advocates, SAFE continues to make a profound difference in the lives of countless animals (mainly cats and dogs) , ensuring they are given the chance for a brighter future filled with love and security.
