In June 2000, the current owners took the reins, operating from a cozy, 100-square-meter space that also doubled as the local fruit and vegetable market. With no room for a forklift, every delivery was a hands-on adventure, as stock was unloaded manually.
By 2005, the need for more space became undeniable. The search for a new home led them to the North Eastern suburbs, where they sought to continue serving their cherished customers with greater ease.
The quest ended when a prime spot at 133 Tolley Road, St Agnes, became available. With determination and countless hours of effort, they transformed an old Auto Electrical workshop into a vibrant retail space for fodder, saddlery, and pet food.
On October 20, 2005, Hooves, Paws and Claws opened its doors in its new location, marking a fresh chapter in its story.
Since then, the business has flourished, expanding its product range and enhancing its offerings. The pet food and accessories section has grown, and the website has been revamped to better serve visitors to the store.
