Hills Petminder has been caring for pets since 2008. We pride ourselves on our professionalism, and attention to your pets in our care.

I’m Katherine and I came to Adelaide in 2007 and had some experience with a petcare business interstate, a passion for animals and a desire to create a happy lifestyle in the Adelaide Hills. I started Hills Petminder as a service providing home visits to animals when their people were away from home, on holiday, busy with work or other commitments. All types of animals are fed, watered, litter trays are attended, they are checked generally for health concerns and cuddled. We are able to administer medication and continue your pet’s diet and exercise routine.

I had been considering taking dogs into my home for a while, but had an elderly dog Sam who required my commitment in her final years. In 2010 my beautiful girl passed away peacefully in our garden in Aldgate at the age of 14. The following year I moved to a small acreage in Paris Creek and began to include a more personal care service for dogs in my home.

This part of the business has become immensely popular as I come across more people who want their dog to have a holiday when they do.

We look after your dog in a friendly and loving environment, while providing individual attention to your pet when you are away. They enjoy the comforts of our home and socialisation with our dogs Lily, Zoe and Digit.

We have plenty of outdoor space during the day where they are allowed to run and play and explore or just lay about. There is always someone here with them and at night they sleep inside with us. There are no kennels or cages. We have a food room where we have a large fridge and freezer and a locker system for all the dogs who staying. We conduct a very ordered feeding routine where there is no chance for issues around food. We absolutely invite all potential new clients to come and visit with their dog so that we can all see if it’s a good fit.

All home visit services include a complimentary obligation free consultation with clients so that you and your pets can meet me and feel comfortable before making any decisions.

All staff are experienced, police checked, fully insured and, of course, animal lovers so we will care for your pets as if they were our own.
