Coral Coast Veterinary Services was initially established by Dr Anthony Kahler as Anthony Kahler Veterinary Services. In 2005, Dr Karen Phillips purchased the practice after having worked as Dr Kahler’s associate. In 2011, we moved into our purpose-built hospital at Goondi Bend and have not looked back since. We are now a practice of three full time vets and 4 vet nurses, all of whom are local residents who are lucky enough to be able to work in this rewarding occupation.

At Coral Coast Veterinary Services we service the beautiful Cassowary Coast region from our clinic in Innisfail, with patients coming from as far north as Cairns and as far south as Tully.

Coral Coast Veterinary Services offers ‘Best Practice’ which means your pet will receive a thorough clinical examination to investigate their medical problems and a diagnostic and treatment program will be discussed with you. An estimate of costs will be provided if requested so that together we can give your pet the best possible care.

We place enormous emphasis on ensuring that the patient and their family’s interests are all considered to allow for the best possible health plan to be put into place in a compassionate and considerate environment. All staff focus our efforts on making each patient’s and owner’s visit as stress-free as possible.

Our vets and nurses are all very active in their continuing professional development. This means that our staff are up to date with the latest developments in pet health and care and our extensive in-house diagnostic equipment and facilities are being regularly upgraded.
