Introducing Barka Park, Mount Barker’s first official dog park, where tails have been wagging since its grand opening on 26 July 2015! Named at the Council Meeting on 17 August 2015, Barka Park is a fantastic community space where dogs can enjoy off-leash fun and exercise.

Located off Zanker Drive, with pedestrian access also available from Bluestone Drive near the new Bluestone Estate, this enclosed dog park was made possible through a generous land donation from Electranet. Barka Park is designed with both dogs and their owners in mind, featuring:

• Two Shelters and Seating: Perfect for relaxing while your dog plays.
• Doggy Bag Dispensers: Conveniently located throughout the park.
• Purpose-Built Drinking Fountains: To keep both dogs and their humans hydrated.
• Designated Car Park: Easy access for all visitors.
• Dog Exercise Equipment: Including various fun obstacles and play features.
• Park Furniture and Paths: For a comfortable and accessible experience.
