A little history about us.
We are located in Adelaide , South Australia, and we’ve been interested in cats since 2017 with the purchase of a Sphynx. At the time it was suggested to look into other breeds before buying one, which is how we found the Bengal, and subsuquently one of each breed was purchased after finding a local Bengal breeder, and now good friend, Melinda at Adelhills Bengals.
We had been showing the Sphynx until late 2019 when she became a Gold Double Grand Champion, now retired, and got our bengal to Bronze Double Grand Champion before we stopped showing him.
Of course we just had to have another show Bengal, so purchased another boy, and he is currently being shown in South Australia.
In that time not only were we showing our own cats, but became Melinda’s show crew and looked after her breeding studs and queens that were to be shown, learning quite a lot about the breed in the process.
We were playing with the idea of breeding cats for some time but didn’t want to step on anyones toes and breed something our friends were breeding, however we were eventually approached by Melinda who wanted to down size her cattery, and suggested we buy one of her queens as she thought we should be breeding, so a deal was struck and Bontemps was born in 2020.
We’ve since had our first litter and with what we’ve learnt during our show career and from our mentor, plan on breeding the best quality Bengals possible.
