I’m Kath, and I’m the owner of K9 Walkies.

I decided to start up K9 Walkies as I love animals, my community and see this as a great way to help others cope with a good work-life balance.

Growing up we always owned three dogs, usually 2 beagles and 1 bulldog, a strange combination you might say but somehow it worked. I attended ring craft training on a regular basis and many weekends we would spend attending dog shows where we showed our bulldog.

As my daughter grew up we owned house rabbits, Emma and Geri the spice bunnies, they lived to good ages of 9 and 11 respectively. I learned so much about rabbits in this time, how important it is to keep their gut moving and checking for fly strike. We also kept hamsters, although they are considered pests in Australia this gave me an insight on looking after other types of rodents.

In more recent years I have looked after my friend’s and family’s dogs at my own home. I’m very passionate about caring for animals and creating a well balanced life for them. Recently, I have been educating myself on dog training and behaviour. I really enjoy playing science based games with your dogs to help them grow confidence and create a calm relaxed dog.

I’m now in a position to extend this love and affection to your pets.
